2011 Eleanor Roosevelt Dinner

     The 13th annual Eleanor Roosevelt Dinner was held on September 30th at the Fair Oaks Ranch Country Club. It was a grand gathering of Democrats and progressive-minded folks from our area and beyond.

     Our lively keynote speaker was Austin-area Texas State Representative Donna Howard. She spoke on education as it related to the 2011 legislative session, and interacted with the audience on a variety of topics.

     Our silent auction and dollar grab bag were highly successful and lots of fun. Many of our non-member attendees commented about how nice it was to be among fellow Democrats and be able to speak freely in our Republican-dominated area.

     We look forward to seeing those friends--and more--at our event again next year.
